The Room
Our most requested suite. A generous living space that opens entirely to a shaded stone terrace overlooking forty acres of cork forest and the quiet immensity of the Alentejo plain.
The Terrace Suite occupies the highest point of the main house. Its terrace — fifteen metres of shaded stone — faces west, which means afternoons here are long and golden and unhurried. Inside, the living room is furnished with a single daybed, two low chairs, and a coffee table made from a cross-section of cork oak. The bedroom is separated by a sliding wall of oak and glass. The bathroom has two stone basins, a walk-in rain shower, and a freestanding copper tub. Below the terrace, a private plunge pool sits flush with the stone, filled with water the temperature of the afternoon sun.
